Enjoy your holiday in Malta! Look out for our soon coming What to do in Malta section
Mosta is famous for its Basilica, popularly referred to as the Mosta Dome or Mosta Rotunda. It is situated in central Malta, a step away from Mdina & Rabat, the Ta' Qali Crafts Village & Malta Fairs & Convention Centre (MFCC), the National Football Stadium, Palazzo Parisio Palace & Gardens, close to Beaches in the North of the island and just besides our bed and breakfast . Valletta is also easily accessible from Mosta.
What can you visit in Mosta?
Mosta is the perfect place to get a true feel of and experience Maltese lifestyle. Everything surrounds the Mosta Dome Basilica - cafes, restaurants, take aways, shops. The Basilica is visible from Mosta Dome B&B.
Besides the Mosta Rotunda, Mosta is home to one of the most important valleys in Malta - Wied il-Ghasel (the Valley of honey). Here you can go for a lovely walk while observing local flora and fauna, passing below Mosta Bridge. There is a small church at the far end of the valley which is dedicated to Saint Paul the Hermit.
Another valley which links to Wied il-Ghasel is Wied l-Isperanza (the Valley of hope). A cave with two small churches above as well as ancient burial sites and tombs along the valley may be seen here.
You may also reach Fort Mosta on foot and walk part of the Victoria Lines.
All these countryside walks are a step away from our Elegant Boutique Accommodation in Central Malta.
Mosta is the perfect place to get a taste of everything Maltese and non. Within a span of 500m and around the Mosta Rotunda adjacent to our bed and breakfast, you may find everything from an excellent freshly brewed coffee to traditional local snacks like pastizzi, traditional dishes with folklore nights, fine dining, yummy sweets & international cuisine.
We've tried them all...
